Morizo’s masterpiece
A fire-breathing hot hatch with the untamed energy of a wild beast, GR Corolla was the vision of Master Driver ‘Morizo’, track alias of former Toyota president and CEO Akio Toyoda. Engineered and handbuilt by highly skilled ‘takumi’ at the TOYOTA GAZOO Racing factory in Motomachi, the Morizo Edition was designed as the ultimate GR Corolla for the track.
FEATURES
The GR Corolla brought unbridled ferocity to one of the world’s most popular passenger vehicles. 35kg lighter and even more rigid than the GTS, the Morizo Edition featured two Torsen® limited-slip differentials and tighter, track-tested gear ratios to maximise the upsized torque.
PERFORMANCE
Each turn and straight presented a new challenge to be conquered with structural reinforcements, optimised suspension, monotube shocks for enhanced steering and an all-powerful 1.6L 3-cylinder turbo engine.

DESIGN
The Morizo Edition is a testament to Toyota's dedication to performance and style, available in three captivating colours: Frosted White, Tarmac Black, and Matte Steel. Each hue accentuates the vehicle’s sleek curves and aggressive stance, which makes it a superb companion for the track.
Reduced weight and an improved centre of gravity. The GTS’ 60:40 split-fold rear seats were removed and a carbon-fibre reinforced polymer roof and two additional brace bars were added.
The driver-ready cockpit served as the ultimate stage for your racing alter ego to emerge. With red-stitched semi-bucket seats for extra hip-hold, Ultrasuede® trims, sports steering wheel and unique shifter with red alumite.
Thrill-seekers could floor the pedal for that rush of adrenaline, delivered through 400Nm of torque. GR-FOUR AWD drivetrain, ventilated disc brakes and sticky Michelin® Pilot Sport Cup 2 tyres (245mm) came together to deliver unparalleled cornering confidence.
VISION
Bred at the circuit, GR Corolla was repeatedly broken and fixed to continuously improve performance capability. Morizo worked with an expert team of engineers and drivers to analyse motorsport data and test GR Corolla in gravel, rain and snow – even entering the prototype in a real Japanese endurance race.
GAZOO RACING
From the Australia Rally Championship to the Dakar Rally, TOYOTA GAZOO Racing fearlessly pushes the limits of motorsports to build ever-better cars. The GR Series is proof of its ability to use lessons from the track to enhance on-road performance.
