Toyota Feeling — New vehicle

All-New HiAce delivers the goods

For drivers who spend so much time behind the wheel, safety technology is more than just another feature – it’s fast becoming a necessity.
A worker stands examining a digital tablet near a dolly with boxes loaded onto it, near a white 2019 Toyota HiAce.

That’s why improving safety has been among the highest priorities in developing the All-New HiAce and it’s fully expected to achieve an ANCAP five-star safety rating in 2019.

All models from the Long Wheelbase (LWB) Van through to the top-of-the-range Commuter GL bus come standard with a suite of Toyota Safety Sense* features including a Pre-Collision Safety System with pedestrian and daytime cyclist detection, Lane Departure Alert to keep you on the straight and narrow and Road Sign Assist, which is designed to alert you to stay within the speed limit.

Add to that cruise control, blind spot monitor, rear-cross traffic alert, reversing camera, parking sensors, anti-lock brakes and vehicle stability control across the range, and up to nine airbags (available on the LWB Crew Van), the All-New HiAce will be one of the safest vans on the road.

Improved safety doesn’t just come in the form of advanced safety features either. The All-New HiAce is more powerful, more comfortable and much better to drive, which means extended wheel-time doesn’t feel like a chore.

Two new engines – a 2.8-litre turbo-diesel and a powerful 3.5-litre V6 petrol (automatic only, available on Crew and Commuter) deliver a superb balance of performance and fuel efficiency.

Behind the wheel, it’s easy to forget you’re even driving a tall van, with the new suspension and a longer wheelbase providing the sort of driving manners that are more likely to be found in a sophisticated station wagon or passenger car.
