SCINEMA Teachers Engaging Pupils (STEP)

The Royal Institute of Australia’s program SCINEMA Teachers Engaging Pupils (STEP) sets out to increase engagement among students in the western suburbs of Melbourne around the study of STEM subjects and inspire them to take up further studies or a career in STEM. We will use one of our key products – the SCINEMA International Science Film Festival, together with our Education portal to deliver a benefit that will have an ongoing impact.

SCINEMA is the largest science film festival in the Southern Hemisphere and the largest single event of National Science Week. Our plan is to drive a targeted campaign throughout the region’s schools to ensure that as many as possible hold their own SCINEMA event:
