This research project examines collaboration and knowledge sharing amongst teachers involved in the Robokids STEAM Program at Footscray High School. The project will measure and map out teacher networks – that is, the structures of knowledge sharing, support and working together around STEAM – to understand the level and patterns of collaboration within the newly formed Footscray High School. In doing so, the project will identify the barriers and enablers of collaboration and knowledge transfer.
The project will deliver a co-designed workshop that is informed by an initial assessment of teacher networks, resulting in the implementation of a change initiative to further build collaboration.
Finally, the project will do a second wave measurement of teacher networks towards the end of the year to understand how collaboration has developed over the year. The results of this project will help inform how collaboration can be better established around STEAM education in schools.
