Toyota Community Trust

Our mission

Following the closure of its manufacturing operations in Australia, Toyota wanted to leave a legacy that would provide long term benefits to the Australian community. The aim of the Trust is to leave a legacy that would provide long term benefits to the Australian community by encouraging and enabling more young Australians to pursue further study and careers in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). The initial focus of support was in the Victorian Western suburbs of Melbourne (the former home of Toyota’s Australian manufacturing plant), which has now been expanded to Australia-wide applicants to focus on STEM challenges at a national level.
