We’ve made some changes to our Toyota Car Insurance Policy and Product Disclosure Statement (PDS), which is why there are two versions of the PDS depending on when you purchased or renewed your policy. It’s important to download your PDS and understand your cover, so you’re informed if you need to make a claim.

New policies


Effective for new business policies commencing on or after 17th December 2024 and renewal policies with a start date on or after 17th December 2024.


Older Policies


Effective for new business policies commencing between 25th March 2021 and 16th November 2024, and renewal policies with a start date between 5th April 2021 and 16th December 2024.

What else is available for used Toyota vehicles?

  • Lifetime Repair Guarantee on all authorised repairs
  • Cover for loss or damage following vandalism or theft of your vehicle
  • If your Toyota vehicle is damaged beyond repair and less than three years old, we’ll replace it with a new one (up to four years for Toyota vehicles financed under Toyota Access)F6F24
  • Rental car for up to 30 days standard (if your Toyota is stolen or damaged in a not-at-fault collision, up to $100 per day)
  • Coverage for travel expenses of up to $500 incurred following accidental loss or damage (from scene of accident, and between authorised repairer and rental agency)
  • Personal items up to $1,000 if any of yours or your immediate family’s possessions are damaged in an accident or taken from your locked vehicleF21
  • Finance gap benefit of up to $10,000 for Toyota Finance customer whose vehicle is declared a total loss. This means that if your finance contract payout amount is more than the agreed value of your vehicle, we will pay the additional finance gap benefit up to $10,000 towards the outstanding balance of your finance contractF23
  • Cover up to $3,000 if your tools of the trade are stolen or damaged after an accident (business use policies only)F22
  • Excess-free glass cover with one replacement and up to two repairs (available for an additional premium)
  • Cover for accessories and modifications standard (excluding performance modifications, which must be agreed upon request)

What is a certified pre-owned car?

A Toyota Certified Pre-Owned Vehicle comes with an additional 1-year Toyota-backed warrantyW16, full service history, 1 year nationwide Toyota Roadside AssistF28 and an independent background check. You may also have the option of a Toyota Access loan for Guaranteed Future ValueF2, and it’s eligible for Toyota Genuine Service from your local Toyota Dealer.
F2 - Approved applicants only. Terms, conditions, fees, charges & lending criteria apply. A final balloon payment to keep your Toyota (equal to the Guaranteed Future Value (GFV)). The GFV is the minimum value of your Toyota at the end of your finance contract, as determined by Toyota Finance. If you decide to return your car to Toyota Finance at the end of your term, Toyota Finance will pay you the agreed GFV, which will be put against your final payment subject to fair wear and tear conditions and agreed kilometres being met. F23 - Terms and conditions apply. Finance gap benefit excludes any arrears, deferred payments, unpaid amounts due and payable and penalty costs. Customers who have received a replacement vehicle are not eligible. Refer to PDS for exclusions and further details.
F24 - Terms and conditions apply. The Toyota vehicle must be continuously insured with a Toyota Insurance policy purchased within 12 months of the vehicle’s original registration. Refer to PDS for exclusions and further details.
F28 - Toyota Certified Pre-Owned Vehicle must be purchased and delivered between 01/10/2025 and 31/12/2025. Not to be used in conjunction with any other offer. Terms and conditions apply. Toyota Roadside Assist will expire 24 months from the vehicle delivery date. Toyota Roadside Assist is administered by Toyota Finance, a division of Toyota Finance Australia Limited ABN 48 002 435 181. T8 - Terms and conditions apply. Total Loss Benefit is the agreed value of the vehicle shown on your policy schedule on the date of purchase.
