Five hybrid models on the horizon

We all want to keep a lid on our motoring costs and with five new Toyota hybrid models set to arrive over the next two and a half years, we have the solution.

For us, hybrid started over 20 years ago when we launched the first Prius with a clever combination of a petrol engine and electric motor.

It was designed to take you further, on less fuel, at a much lower cost.

Since then we have been refining and developing the technology to the point where now, we can confidently offer it across a much broader range of vehicles.

First off the blocks for the new generation of hybrids will be the all-new RAV4 – our first AWD hybrid that will arrive in dealerships across the country in the first half of next year, with more to come.

The new RAV4 joins the current hybrid offering in all three Prius models, Camry and the entire all-new Corolla hatch range.

Whatever your choice of vehicle, our hybrid provides a seamless driving experience that automatically switches between petrol power, electric drive or a combination of the two for the optimal balance of performance and economy.

You won’t even know it’s happening – at least not until you realise how much further you can go on a tank of petrol!

In Camry for instance, the hybrid version offers more power than the Petrol 4 cylinder model yet uses just over half the amount of fuel with an official fuel consumption of just 4.5l/100km*.

With petrol prices currently averaging $1.53 a litre, that means if you drive 15,000km a year, you can potentially save up to $870 a year**.
