Curious Minds - girls in STEM

Twelve girls from Melbourne’s west will join with 54 others in the national Curious Minds – girls in STEM program that redresses inequity in STEM by targeting high achieving girls from underrepresented groups.

Curious Minds exposes the girls to challenging STEM content through guest lectures, group interactives, practicals, subject supercharge sessions and field trips in a safe and supportive environment during two residential camps at the Australian National University in Canberra.

The girls also undertake a six-month mentoring program with a young female STEM professional.

  • Years 9 & 10
  • 12 girls from Melbourne’s west
  • Two residential academic camps plus 6 months STEM mentoring
