Trustee

The Directors of Toyota Community Foundation Australia Pty Ltd (TCFA) act as Trustee of the Toyota Community Trust. TCFA Directors are appointed for two years by Toyota Motor Corporation Australia Ltd.

The current Directors are:

Mike Rausa, Chairman

Mike joined Toyota Australia in 1985 as a Graduate Engineer and over the next 30 years held senior management positions within the Purchasing, Product Development, Production Control and Quality divisions.

In 2011 Mike was appointed Senior Vice President Purchasing, Toyota Motor Asia Pacific in Thailand. On returning to Australia in 2013, Mike was appointed to Toyota Australia’s Board as Executive Director of Corporate Services.

In 2018 he was appointed Vice President Product and Corporate Operations in Toyota Australia’s new Senior Executive team.

Mike is a Director of Hydrogen Mobility Australia and a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

He was appointed as a Director of Toyota Community Foundation Australia Pty Ltd in 2017.

Ian Grigg AM

Ian was a Senior Adviser to the Board of Toyota Australia from 2000 to 2017. He had previous vast experience with both the Australian Government and corporate sector including Prime Minister’s Special Automotive Envoy, Chief of Staff to the Prime Minister, Chief Executive Officer of the Federal Chamber of Automotive Industries (FCAI) and Australian Business Envoy 2005 World Expo in Aichi Province Japan.

Ian was awarded an Order of Australia in 1989 for his service to Government and Australian industry.

He was awarded an Honorary Doctorate by the Australian National University in 2008 for outstanding service to that University.

He was appointed as a Director of Toyota Community Foundation Australia Pty Ltd in 2017.

Damien Bayard

Damien was admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor in Victoria in 1968. He was in private practice until 1981. He then became an in-house corporate lawyer, joining Toyota Australia in 1987 as General Counsel and Company Secretary.

He chaired the Toyota Employees Superannuation Trust (TEST) and Toyota Australia Superannuation Plan (TASP). He also chaired the Legal Committee of Federal Chamber of Automotive Industries (FCAI) for 20 years. He retired from Toyota at the end of 2009.

He was appointed as a Director of Toyota Community Foundation Australia Pty Ltd in 2017.
