Ben's Paralympic Journey
A natural talent, Ben made the switch to snowboarding at eight after watching his dad and sister on the ski fields at Perisher Winter Sports Club. Whilst he developed an instant passion for snowboarding, his goal was never to compete at the Paralympics but simply to improve his skills and become the best snowboarder he could be.
Ben has now been a fierce competitor on the World Cup Circuit for almost a decade, ranking first in the world at the end of the 2018/19 and 2019/20 seasons.
Whilst preparing for his third Paralympics at Beijing 2022, he kept a positive mindset during the highs and lows of lockdown by continuing to work hard to get his body and mind as strong as possible. He secured his first Paralympic medal when he clinched the bronze in the Men’s Para-Snowboard Cross SB LL2 event.
Ben's Hilux
“I love my HiLux GR Sport – it can navigate challenging terrain with ease and has a comfortable interior for long journeys. And its reliability is crucial for snowy drives. The spaciousness is also a highlight, allowing me to carry any boards, bags and equipment with ease. On top of all that, the stylish design makes it a standout choice for all adventures.”
“The snowy mountains are like a second home to me – it always puts a smile on my face driving up to Thredbo in the GR Sport. Whenever I have time, I would love to do more off-road trips up and down the East Coast and camp on our amazing beaches!”
This legendary ute is smarter, safer and tougher than ever. This steadfast and rugged workhorse has served generations of Australians for over 50 years.
