How COVID-19 is impacting our dealership network
How COVID-19 is impacting our dealership network

As the pandemic evolves, we’re doing all we can to prioritise health and safety. Here’s what to expect when visiting your local Toyota dealership.

The COVID-19 pandemic has given us all a lot to think about. But, as always, the wellbeing of our guests, dealers, employees and the wider community remains at the forefront. So we’ve made some changes across our national dealership network to prioritise community health and ensure the experience of buying a new Toyota remains as exciting and safe as ever.

Our dealerships

All of our dealerships are trading as normal. They’ll continue to provide vehicle assistance for servicing, repair and sales. But we’ve adapted our usual processes to ensure health and hygiene remain a top priority. And, as the situation evolves, we’ll continue to adhere to the most recent government health advice.

If you’d prefer to limit your outdoor activity, our sales team will be available to assist you via phone, email or, in many cases, live chat.

How we’re keeping you safe

Hygiene

  • Thorough cleaning and sanitising of our showrooms and office areas
  • Providing hand sanitiser in all customer and employee areas
  • Sanitising all high-contact vehicle touchpoints and surfaces, which include steering wheel, gear stick, indicator and wiper stalks, door handles and keys

Space

  • Signs throughout the dealership provide information about COVID-19 hygiene practices and social distancing
  • Inessential items such as public access to flyers, books and magazines have been removed to reduce unnecessary handling
  • We’ve limited the number of guests allowed at each location

People

  • Technicians and Service Advisors always wear gloves when handling guest vehicles
  • We’re offering contactless payment

Servicing made easy

Of course we’re going to need some help from your end too. Before you bring your vehicle in for a service, please check to ensure it’s as empty as possible. Please sanitise surfaces and touchpoints for a smooth and safe handover.

If you require servicing or repair work, you can continue to book an appointment either by phone or online. For further information, contact your closest Toyota Dealer.

Test drives

Dealerships are still offering test drives for visitors, which means that you won’t have to miss out on one of the best parts of buying a car. But we ask that teams and guests sanitise their hands before and after every test drive.

By implementing these measures, we’ll keep facilitating the freedom to move in a safe environment while you search for your perfect Toyota.
