Toyota Country Music Festival

Toyota Country Music Festival

Toyota has supported the Australian country music industry from the streets of Tamworth for over 27 years.

Toyota has a proud history supporting rural and regional Australia and are delighted year on year to bring the largest country music festival in the Southern Hemisphere to all country music fans.

2021 marks the 50th anniversary of the Tamworth Country Music Festival.

Toyota Star Maker

Toyota Star Maker celebrates its 42nd anniversary in 2021 with a proud record of giving a host of country music idols, like Lee Kernaghan and The McClymonts, their big break. Toyota Star Maker is dedicated to boosting the profile of a young performer who is making an impression in the country music scene by awarding them a wealth of great prizes.
While Star Maker has evolved since its start in 1979, its focus remains the same: to support and showcase the best of Australia’s young country artists. It’s a tradition Toyota is incredibly proud of.

Toyota Golden Guitars

The Toyota Golden Guitar Awards recognise, celebrate and honour outstanding achievement in Australian country music. Commencing in 1973, the Awards are the nation’s longest running music awards and play a vital role in developing and promoting Australian country music talent.

Toyota Busking Competition

The Toyota LandCruiser Country Music Busking Championships is one of the most anticipated aspects of the Festival each year. Up to 400 buskers perform on Tamworth’s “Boulevard of Dreams” in Peel Street in the hope that they’ll be spotted for their talent and follow in the footsteps of some of country music’s biggest stars.
