Toyota Yaris features hatch audio system

Toyota Entertainment Communications Hub (T.E.C.H.)™

All Yaris grades are fitted with multi speaker audio systems which include inputs for selected USB^ devices, iPods®+ and MP3 players plus Bluetooth™##  connectivity for audio streaming and hands-free mobile calls.

But new ZR and YRX Yaris hatches take audio to another level entirely with the awesome T.E.C.H.™ system which delivers exceptionally clear sound through powerful wrap around speaker systems. Your ears will love the experience.

But the T.E.C.H.™ isn't just a car audio system. T.E.C.H.™ stands for 'Toyota Entertainment Communications Hub' and it is at the heart of the car's communications and SatNav technology. And it's very clever indeed.

Just tell it what to do

Yaris hatches all have Voice Control technology, so when you want to change tracks or make a hands-free call, the car will respond to a range of vocal commands. Simply press the Voice Control button and Yaris will do what you tell it to.

Picture this

The T.E.C.H.™ system in new Yaris hatch (YRX and ZR grades) features a 6.1 inch touch screen which can display artist and track details on FM stations***.

The touchscreen has 'split-screen' functionality so more than one task can be controlled at a time.

The system also has SMS with Text-to-Voice^^^ and an SD Card slot so you can view photos and personalise the start up screen.

And with DivX™~~~ compatibility, you can even play video files via USB memory sticks^.

See the world with Sat Nav# in 3D and take the easiest route there.

In new Yaris hatch YRX and ZR grades, the T.E.C.H.™ unit includes Sat Nav# with 3D graphics, which clearly identify buildings and landmarks, helping drivers to avoid disorientation when driving through unfamiliar cities.

There's also a traffic avoidance system (SUNA™ Traffic Channel~~) built in with up to the minute information about road conditions, which helps SatNav# work out the best route to avoid congestion. So finding your way round and avoiding hold ups is easier than ever.

Audio controls at your fingertips

Throughout the Yaris hatch range, steering wheel controls mean you can pump up the volume, change from CD player to radio and back again and skip through tracks without even taking your hands off the wheel.

Make connections with Bluetooth™##

All Yaris grades have Bluetooth™##  connectivity for audio streaming and hands-free mobile calls. It's easy to register your compatible mobile phone with the T.E.C.H.™ system (available on ZR and YRX grades) and once that's done, a whole range of Bluetooth™## enabled features become available. Depending on your phone, these include phonebook access and message access. You can even stream your music via Bluetooth™## from your compatible phone to the touchscreen unit.
