New Audio System
Yaris is equipped with great audio systems throughout the range. As well as a powerful multi speaker audio system, there are inputs for USB memory sticks^, iPods®+ and MP3 players plus Bluetooth™## connectivity for audio streaming, phone book access and hands-free mobile calls. New Yaris ZR and YRX hatches are now fitted with the awesome Toyota Entertainment Communications Hub - (T.E.C.H.)™.
T.E.C.H.™ comes with a whole range of clever new features. Depending on the model, these include 6.1 inch Touchscreen, Voice Recognition, SMS with Text to Voice^^^, an SD Card slot for photos and SatNav# with 3D graphics. You can even watch DivX®~~~ media files via USB memory sticks^.
The Yaris sedan audio system has an MP3/WMA compatible CD player and USB input for some iPods®+/USB memory sticks^ so you can play all your favourite tunes wherever they are stored. The inbuilt Bluetooth™## lets you stream your music or keep in touch with friends.

Go for a USB drive
The T.E.C.H.™ system in the new ZR and YRX hatches comes with a USB input. It can play a variety of audio formats and even DivX™~~~ movie files via USB memory sticks^.
Steering wheel controls
Throughout the Yaris hatch range, steering wheel controls give you fingertip control of audio. So you don't even need to take your hands off the wheel.
Intelligent engine
Depending on model and grade, Yaris is powered by either a 1.3 or 1.5 Litre VVT-i engine. VVT-i (Dual Valve Timing with intelligence) is a particularly clever piece of technology, which automatically adjusts the timing of the engine so that whatever the driving conditions (accelerating, slowing down, cruising or ticking over), it is always working at its most efficient. The result is that Yaris delivers great performance and exceptional fuel economy.
You know where you are with Yaris
The YRX and ZR grades of new Yaris hatches are fitted with Sat Nav# which includes a traffic avoidance system, which can help you keep clear of traffic congestion. The system also includes 3D graphics, featuring many landmarks and buildings in detail which makes it really easy to see exactly where you are. Even in completely unfamiliar locations.
Open sesame. Keyless entry system
All Yaris grades come with remote central locking. So when it's pouring with rain or you have a load of shopping or luggage to unload, there's no need to fumble with your keys in the door when you park or load up. Just point and click, and off you go.
Take it easy. Go for a Cruise
New Yaris hatches are all available with Cruise Control###. This technology is designed to help take the stress out of driving on long journeys. It lets you set a preferred speed and then automatically adjusts the throttle to keep you going as close to that speed as possible. So all you need to do is concentrate on steering.
Not only does this reduce driver fatigue, it can also help you avoid speeding infringements by preventing you from gradually increasing your speed unknowingly on long straight highway stretches.

Variable Valve Timing with intelligence (VVT-i)
Toyota engine system that provides continual variations of the intake valve timing to provide optimal valve timing for the full range of driving conditions. It improves driveability, performance and fuel efficiency, and reduces emissions. Dual VVT-i provides even greater improvement, by independently varying exhaust valve timing as well as intake timing.
