Hill-start Assist Control (HAC)
Hill-start Assist Control (HAC) is an advanced Driver Assist Technology that prevents roll back during hill starts.
Downhill Assist Control is an advanced Driver Assist Technology found on automatic models that helps the driver maintain a constant low speed on steep descents by automatically controlling the brakes and preventing the wheels from locking up.
Auto-On Headlights
On selected models, RAV4's four-bulb headlamp system senses when the light begins to fade and automatically switches the headlights on.
Satellite Navigation# on ZR6 is incorporated in the audio system and provides audible and visual directions to help guide the driver to their destination.
Power Steering
Electric Power Steering (EPS) makes it easy for drivers to turn the wheel at low speeds and on awkward surfaces, yet provides excellent feel at higher speeds.
To make long motorway journeys as comfortable as possible, all models of the RAV4 are fitted with Cruise Control as standard.
Steering Wheel Controls
Steering Wheel Controls in RAV4 give the driver fingertip control over volume, audio source, radio channel and CD track selection.
Electro Chromatic Rear View Mirror
A convenient electro chromatic rear view mirror is standard in RAV4 Cruiser L and ZR6 models and automatically reduces the glare from headlights behind the vehicle.
Car Audio
For maximum music on the move, a six speaker, AM/FM MP3-compatible audio system with single CD player is standard in RAV4 CV and CV6. Inbuilt Bluetooth™## allows you to keep in touch with your mates. There's a USB input to plug in compatible iPods®+ or MP3 players^ giving you even more music playing capacity.
Cruiser and SX6 models incorporate a 6.1" LCD screen that displays incoming calls, lets you access stored contact numbers then allows you to make calls without ever touching your mobile. You can also view and select music files stored on some iPods®+ that's powerful technology.
All models have audio controls on the tilt and telescopic steering wheel, so you can adjust audio levels while you drive. Step up to the Cruiser L++ or ZR6 model and the audio system incorporates a single-disc in-dash CD player, iPodsŪ+/MP3^ audio input, Bluetooth™## capabilities , and a touch screen Audio Visual Navigation (AVN)# system incorporating SD-based Satellite Navigation# to keep you headed in the right direction.
