Design
RAV4 is designed to offer powerful performance off the beaten track while providing levels of comfort and ride you'd expect from a passenger car. The bold car design gives the vehicle a modern yet rugged appearance.

Performance
RAV4 comes with a choice of two highly efficient power units - a 2.4 Litre 4-cylinder VVT-i engine or a 3.5 litre dual VVT-i V6 producing 201kW of adventure seeking power (V6 not available with 2WD models).
As well as delivering excellent on-road car performance, both engines generate plenty of torque giving the car excellent towing capacity#.
In All Wheel Drive models, the Active AWD allows the vehicle to switch continuously from front wheel drive to all wheel drive as conditions change. This provides better fuel economy for normal driving conditions and increased grip when needed. Active AWD is paired with MacPherson struts which give the vehicle excellent handling and responsive steering. Whether you're going off down the highway or off the beaten track, RAV4 offers the performance you need.
RAV4 features an extensive range of our advanced car safety technologies - both passive and active. They are designed to help minimise damage and injury in auto accidents. From an ingenious Safe-T-Cell with impact absorbing crumple zones, to sensor driven dual stage SRS airbags, Advanced Braking with Intelligence (AB-i), Traction Control (TRC) and Vehicle Stability Control (VSC), the vehicle is designed both to assist the driver in avoiding accidents and to help protect everyone on board if a collision should occur.
