On long drives, maintaining a constant speed, with constant throttle adjustments and speedometer checks, can contribute to driver fatigue. But with the Cruise Control system in the Prius v, that's a thing of the past.
Simply set Cruise Control when you've reached your desired speed, then take your foot off the accelerator and the system will maintain your speed automatically. If you want to speed up or slow down for any reason, a touch of the brake pedal will override the system and put you back in full control.
Dynamic Radar Cruise Control
In Prius v i-Tech®, Cruise Control goes one step further - with Dynamic Radar Cruise Control[B9] . This intelligent technology uses millimetre-wave radar sensors to detect the speed of the vehicle ahead, and automatically adjusts your speed to ensure you there's always a set range between you.
Cruise control is a system that automatically assists to maintain the vehicle at a set, pre-determined speed. Mostly used for driving on open roads, it is easily disengaged by touching the brake pedal. Image shown for illustration purposes only. Specification may vary across models.
Dynamic Radar Cruise Control[B9]
Dynamic Radar Cruise Control[B9] is an advanced cruise control system that uses radar to detect when the vehicle is closing in on a slower vehicle in front. It then slows the car to maintain a safe gap and only accelerates back to the pre-set speed when the vehicle in front either speeds up or moves out of the way. [B9] Dynamic Radar Cruise Control is a driver assist technology and should not be used in place of safe driving practices. Driver should continue to monitor road ahead.
