Toyota Prado Features Car Technology Keyless Entry

Keyless Entry makes access and loading easier

Our Smart Entry and Start System includes Keyless Entry which means that as long as you have the key fob in your pocket or bag, you can gain entry. As you approach the car, the system prepares to unlock the car, then unlocks itself when you grasp the front door handle.

As well as being very convenient, this makes life a great deal easier when loading the car up with gear.

Once you're inside the car, you can still leave the remote key in your pocket or handbag. It transmits the security ID which the car's computer verifies before deactivating the immobiliser. All you have to do is make sure the car's transmission is in the Park position, step on the brake, push the start button on the dash and off you go.

With the remote key in your pocket or bag, locking the car is a simple matter of pressing the lock button on the driver or passenger door handle.
