The Prado's Crumple Zone helps shield everyone from impact
As part of Toyota's revolutionary 'passive safety system' everyone in the Prado is shielded from impact in all directions by a specially engineered crumple zone - our exclusive 'Safe-T-Cell'.
Our 'Safe-T-Cell' 'crumple zone' is incredibly strong, but it's also designed to be highly impact- absorbent, cushioning the effects of any collision from every direction.
SRS Airbags
As well as Prado's crumple zone technology, there are seven SRS airbags to provide protection for both you and your passengers.
Safe seatbelts too
The Prado's front seatbelts feature pre tensioners with force limiters to take up any slack and minimise movement in an accident. All seats in the back are fitted with Emergency Locking Retractor 3-point seatbelts to help keep everyone securely in place.
Preventing accidents before they happen
Obviously the safest thing is to prevent accidents from happening in the first place. So the Prado is equipped with a range of 'active' safety technology including advanced Anti-lock Braking, Traction Control, Stability Control and much, much more.
