The V6 petrol driven Prado generates immense engine power. With Dual Variable Valve Timing with intelligence (VVT-i), it can pump out an impressive 202kW and deliver 381Nm of torque.

Despite the impressive engine power, it's also quiet, fuel efficient and will go a long way on a single tank.

Absolute power

The 3.0L turbo diesel generates impressive engine power, producing 127kW of direct-injected diesel muscle and a huge 410Nm of torque. You'll have all the grunt you'll need to take on the toughest off road terrain. Yet this engine is technically advanced, it delivers remarkable fuel efficiency too - 8.8L/100km (or around 1700km per tank) for the five door with a manual transmission (only available on GX and GXL Turbo-diesel models only) and slightly better for the automatic#.

Gear up for adventure

To engage the Prado's V6 engine power you have the choice of intelligent 5-speed automatic multi-mode transmission, which gives you all the convenience of an auto, but with the option of manual gear selection whenever you like.

On paper, it sounds a pretty amazing machine. On the road or off it, it's even better.
