Toyota have been a proud supporter of the Australian Paralympic Committee for over 12 years and want to see our athletes shine in Rio, 2016. Each year Toyota commit's a minimum contribution of $100,000 to the APC's Cause Related Marketing Fundraising Program. In 2016 fundraising and involvement with the APC includes:

  • APC Parathon event activation at Martin Place, Sydney on Saturday the 5th of March
  • Giant gold medal money box which will visit the Parathon and four dealerships throughout Australia in March and April
  • Dealership events broadcast on Channel 7's Sunrise and feature Paralympic athletes
  • Further support of the partnership and fundraising effort through Toyota ambassadors Michael Clarke, Libby Trickett, Steve Waugh, Guy Sebastien and former Paralympic skier Michael Milton

Every hour of every day is spent selecting and preparing the Paralympic Team for each Games. Right now, our summer athletes are in training preparing for the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games.

The Rio games are the first Olympic or Paralympic games to be hosted in South America. Our Australian Paralympic summer athletes have been in preparation for the games since the end of the 2012 London Paralympics.
