Immense towing

Whether it's a caravan or a boat, or a trailer packed with heavy weight equipment, the LandCruiser 200 certainly pulls its weight.

Thanks to the incredible torque the vehicle generates, it has a massive towing capacity. In fact, with the LandCruiser 200's legendary pulling power, it can tow up to 3,500kg with a braked trailer [J8] .

Regardless of what you're carrying, because the engine and transmission have been designed to deliver power so efficiently, the vehicle will help you get wherever you want to go - without stress or strain, and it will do so with surprising fuel efficiency.

The tow bar has an integrated cover that conceals it when it's not in use.

When you do hook a trailer, caravan or whatever you want to tow, up to the back of the LandCruiser 200, you can't help but be impressed by the ease with which the vehicle moves off and copes with the load. As we said earlier, this fantastic towing capacity is down to the mighty torque generated by the LandCruiser 200's V8 engine.

Tow what you want, go where you want [J8]

The Land Cruiser 200's petrol variant (not on GX) V8 engine offers an awesome 439Nm at 3400rpm while the V8 Turbo-diesel delivers a jaw dropping 650Nm at 1600-2600rpm.

With this much torque, the LandCruiser 200 can easily tow things other 4x4s might struggle with and can take you places other 4WDs may not dare. Six-speed super Electronically Controlled Transmission (ECT) for both engines, make the drive smooth and effortless.

Trailer sway control

Trailer sway control reduces the effect of factors such as wind and bumpy roads on trailer sway when towing a trailer.

The system detects trailer sway and when detected, the system slows the vehicle speed to reduce trailer sway and the driver is notified via the dashboard controls. When trailer sway control is automatically activated the slip indicator in the instrument cluster blinks and the stop lamps are illuminated to alert rear observers of the vehicle's imminent deceleration.
