The LandCruiser 200 features Toyota's innovative Kinetic Dynamic Suspension System [U2] - an advanced technology that provides more robust traction as well as helping to smoothen the ride over tough terrain. In off-road conditions KDSS [U2] suppresses lateral vehicle roll and allows the wheel travel needed to drive over uneven terrain.
One of the things that makes the LandCruiser 200 such a rugged off-roader, is the incredible torque the engine generates. You've got the choice between the V8 4.6L 1UR-FE Petrol engine or the V8 twin Turbo-diesel engine. (The GX model is available with a Turbo-diesel engine only.)
Plenty of torque is vital when you're towing heavy loads or driving in off road situations. The LandCruiser 200's petrol variant engine delivers 439Nm at 3400rpm, while the Turbo-diesel grinds out a heart thumping 650Nm at 1600-2600rpm.
Giving you maximum control when you need it most, the LandCruiser 200 features Crawl Control [B10] (CRAWL) with Turn Assist as standard on all models. CRAWL [B10] has been developed to maintain a low vehicle speed by automatically reducing engine output and brake hydraulic pressure to aid off-road driving.
Variable Valve Timing with intelligence (VVT-i)
Toyota engine system that provides continual variations of the intake valve timing to provide optimal valve timing for the full range of driving conditions. It improves driveability, performance and fuel efficiency, and reduces emissions. Dual VVT-i provides even greater improvement, by independently varying exhaust valve timing as well as intake timing.
