Passenger car comfort

As an Action Utility Vehicle, HiLux crosses all the boundaries. It's as rugged as ever, and – just as importantly – it's got many of the creature comforts of a car. Power windows (SR & SR5), speed-sensing rack & pinion power steering, power door locks with keyless entry (SR & SR5), moulded door trims (all models), Cruise Control(SR automatic & SR5)^, air conditioning (standard on SR5 & optional on SR & WorkMate), a premium steering wheel (SR5), gated gear shift (A/T), luxurious seating including front sports styled seats^ (SR5 4x4 Double Cab only), privacy glass^ on rear doors and back window (SR5 Double cab models only) and more cabin space in Extra Cab and Double Cab models than ever before... The list goes on and on! But the important message is that in the Toyota HiLux, driving hard doesn't have to mean roughing it.

Heaps of cabin & storage space

The Toyota HiLux gives you heaps of cabin space, you can seat up to 5 adults in the Double Cab models (up to 6 adults in the WorkMate 4x2 D/C petrol model), up to 4 adults in the Xtra Cab models, and up to 3 adults in the Single Cab. And with its slim profile and ergonomic seating, you get a lot more leg room and space between occupants. What's more, there's multiple storage locations in the dash, in the front door pockets, in the rear door pockets (Double Cab) and back quarter panels (Xtra Cab), under the rear seats (Xtra & Double Cabs), and of course in the centre console (where fitted).

CD system

Don't settle for radio when you can have CD! With the Toyota HiLux, a CD sound system with audio input for your iPod®+ (or other MP3 player) and USB input^ is standard across the entire range. All models come with MP3 CD compatibility and Bluetooth™*^ hands-free compatibility. Choose your own tunes and enjoy them through speakers placed strategically around the cabin. You love your driving - don't spoil it with drivetime radio! The Toyota HiLux SR5 & SR models also features audio controls^ on the steering wheel and SR5 models have Multi Information Display.

HiLux WorkMate - CD system

Modern interior

It wouldn't be right for Australia's ground-breaking Action Utility Vehicle (AUV) to have anything but the most modern interior. HiLux boasts a stylish and contemporary dash and instrument panel, with uniquely rounded speedo, tacho (SR & SR5), water temperature gauge, fuel gauge, and digital clock, while the SR5 features a sporty Optitron Combimeter. All doors have single piece moulded trims and all seats are slim profile and built for support, with fabric bucket driver's seat on the SR and SR5 and sport styled front seats on the SR5 4x4 Double Cab^.
