SRS Airbags (Front Airbags, Curtain Airbags)
HiLux comes with driver and front passenger SRS airbags as standard across the range. There are also front seat side and curtain shield airbags for the driver, passenger and outer rear passengers, fitted in all SR 4x4 and SR5 4x4 Extra-Cab and Double-Cab models.
Frontal airbags help to reduce shock to the head and chest In a frontal collision, while the curtain shield airbags reduce the force of impact to the head area, should there be a collision from the side.
The airbags are just one of HiLux's advanced passive safety features. They work together with the pre-tensioning seatbelts and impact absorbing crumple zone technology to help keep both driver and passengers as safe as possible should a collision occur.
