Toyota Supports Rural Australia
With a great many customers as well as Dealer partners scattered across Australia's many and varied regions, a love of the bush has always been close to the hearts of all at Toyota.
In line with its proud history of supporting rural and regional Australia, since 1993 Toyota has been involved with the largest music festival in the Southern Hemisphere - Australia's own Tamworth Country Music Festival. Taking place over 10 action-packed days in January each year, the festival attracts over 50,000 visitors and provides the ultimate stage and place in the spotlight for both emerging and much-loved country music talent.
Capturing the heart and soul of this wide, brown land, there's something special about country music which just gets under your skin. Toyota continues to be an integral part of helping the Festival do just that, by being involved in many of the program's highlights, including the oldest and most prestigious music talent search program, Toyota Star Maker, plus Toyota's free Concert in the Park, the CMAA Golden Guitar Awards and the famed Toyota Cavalcade down Tamworth's Peel Street which helps to celebrate the close of the Festival in style. Plus you'll be sure to notice more than a few famous Toyota Hats as you wander around town.
Toyota's support for country music is a reflection of its dedication to rural Australia, providing meaningful assistance to local communities and long-standing Toyota customers. To this end, each year Toyota selects a key charity partner to whom all fundraising proceeds from the Concert in the Park are donated, and with anywhere up to a 30,000-strong crowd, this generous donation can help to make a world of difference.
Previous worthy charity partners have included Aussie Helpers (2007 and 2010), KIDS Foundation (2009) as well as The Premier's Relief Fund (for Queensland Floods) and CanTEEN (2011, 2012).
