Hybrid Camry's greater feel and responsiveness is a pleasure at the wheel and under-foot. An electronic transmission is designed to make best use of the hybrid's petrol and electric motors by seamlessly delivering power and acceleration throughout the required speed ranges as you drive.
Called Electronic Continuously Variable Transmission (e-CVT), Hybrid Camry's gearless transmission is equivalent to a virtually unlimited range of gears and ratios. This provides optimal performance and silky smooth accelleration at all speed ranges.
By doing away with gear changes, Hybrid Camry limits any impact to power delivery or performance. e-CVT is highly efficient, focused on optimal power delivery without the jolting experience that comes from traditional gear shifting. For the driver it's a noticeably more refined, seamless driving experience.
