  • At low speeds, the hybrid system can be powered by the electric motor alone - using no petrol and producing zero emissions*. When more power is required, for when you're overtaking or climbing a hill, the petrol engine and electric motor combine to provide seamless power.

    Compare this to a mild hybrid, which are primarily powered by a petrol engine with assistance from an electric motor. Without full power sharing mild hybrids can't hope to achieve the fuel savings made possible by a full hybrid. They're efficient during highway driving, but are compromised when it comes to stop-and-go city driving.
