Toyota Hybrid Camry features how hybrid cars work

How hybrid cars work

Toyota's hybrid cars are full hybrids. That means they can seamlessly switch between their two power sources. In the case of Hybrid Camry an electric motor and a petrol engine. The energy flow is intelligently managed between the two power sources, so that Hybrid Camry can run off each independently, or a combination of both. In this way the hybrid engine optimises the driving experience whether you're accelerating, cruising on the open road, braking or handling stop-and-go city traffic.

Diesel produces more harmful emissions#

Diesel cars score reasonably well for fuel efficiency and lower CO2 emissions#, but they produce much more particulate matter and nitrogen oxide (NOx) gases than hybrid vehicles. These smog forming pollutants are harmful to human health.

Hybrid cars offer the complete package, the most advanced driving performance, the best fuel economy. The lowest CO2 emissions# space and versatility so you don't have to compromise for lower fuel consumption.

# Fuel consumption and emissions will vary depending on driving conditions/style, vehicle conditions and options/accessories. Source of fuel consumption data: ADR81/02 combined cycle.
