Toyota AFL Legendary Moments
The Legendary Moments advertising campaign has brought back favourite moments in AFL history for footy fanatics of all ages to enjoy. Since the campaign's launch in 2004, the commercials have re-lived some of the greatest moments of the game. Former greats James Hird, Wayne Harmes, Peter Daicos, Dermott Brereton, Alex Jesulenko, Malcom Blight, Tony 'Plugger' Lockett, Francis Bourke, Kevin Bartlett, Bruce Doull, Peter Hudson and 'Lethal' Leigh Matthews, Toyota's Legendary Moments pay homage to those who have made iconic contributions to the game and have a little fun at the same time thanks to Toyota larrikins, Steve and Dave.
'Lethal' Leigh Matthews is the latest star of the Toyota Legendary Moments TV commercials. Matthews earned the nickname 'Lethal' thanks to his reputation for giving (and taking) plenty of hard bumps - none harder than one back in 1982 during a clash between Hawthorn and Essendon at Windy Hill where he famously collided with a point post - snapping it in two.
The big man is back and he's got Dave running scared. See legendary full-forward Tony 'Plugger' Lockett, relive the moment when he kicked himself into the record books to become the first ever footballer to kick 1300 goals.
